A New Benefit for Qualified Members

What is Courtesy Pay? This new checking account feature will be another over-draft protection service available through your credit union. In short, Courtesy Pay is peace of mind!

We will soon add Courtesy Pay service to eligible personal checking accounts.* The service is designed to protect you from the embarrassment and expense of returned checks when you make an honest mistake in your checkbook and it leaves you a “little short” to cover all of your outstanding checks. Courtesy Pay will cover overdrawn accounts up to $500 so that you will not incur additional Returned Check Fees from the payee when you exceed your checking balance.

There will be a $25 charge each time a check item is paid through Courtesy Pay. The overdrafts and overdraft fees must be paid to the credit union, and accounts must be brought to a positive balance within 30 days. We will send you a notice each time an overdraft occurs. Courtesy Pay has been designed as a “safety net” in the event you have made a mistake in your balance calculation in your checking account.
